About me

I am a  professional qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem,  relationship difficulties and other issues. I offer a 'holistic'  way of working,  exploring how the mind and body are connected, by using different techniques and approaches such as Person Centred, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Existential. We are all unique and hopefully by the end of our therapeutic relationship you will leave feeling lighter and more confident. I work on a one to one basis offering both short and long term therapy. I will  provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and any root causes which may have led you to becoming 'stuck' or lose a sense of who you are.

People come to counselling for a wide variety of reasons. Life pressures and difficult situations can easily bring about anxiety, stress and depression. Feeling different, misunderstood or wanting something to change can also create unhappiness or anger. Counselling can help you to gain insight into what might be going on and give you the confidence and tools you need to make positive changes for your life.

 (31 yr old student)

I was burnt out, anxious and so terribly depressed for months. Deborah helped me to feel relaxed. She gave me the tools I needed to control my anger. Today I am more able to achieve the things I thought were impossible. Thank you Deborah!!!

(42 yr old personal trainer)

Deborah is an Angel. I was at my lowest point and felt suicidal, she gave me space to explore my thoughts and offered the support I needed to transform my life and re-discover who I am. Working with Deborah over the past 18 weeks has been such a life-changing experience for me.

(single father of 2)

My marriage had broken down. I was taking medication to cope with my depression but it wasn't enough. Deborah supported me to build resilience and find the courage within to face my fears and overcome many obstacles. Before I started counselling I found it difficut to get out of bed! I put a lot of work into my counselling sessions, as the weeks went by I noticed how positive  I felt. I can now sleep better, eat better and take care of myself more than I ever did before. It's amazing what counselling can do. I reckon counselling is something we could all benefit from!!!
